You can’t just erase what’s been done and said, even if you delete comments or take down lists. Besides that, this is real life - as much as anything is - and if you want to have open lines of communication, you have to be prepared for some degree of dissension. Whether or not we are on the “same side”, we are never going to all agree. The problem in this case is with someone who doesn’t know how to disagree in a constructive fashion and who has illustrated this time and again. Furthermore, when anyone disagrees with him, no matter how civilly it is done, he sees it as an attack…

You can try to get everyone to kiss and make up, but it is just a matter of time before it happens again - either here or elsewhere in the blogosphere.

It’s an open forum. There is often discussion in the comments between the people leaving them, directed at each other as opposed to the blog owner.

I’m sorry you feel so ignored and attacked at the same time. I meant what I wrote up there, and I’d guess you see some truth in it, since you were unusually silent on the content of what I wrote. I don’t know you personally, but honestly think you have some sort of psychological problem when it comes to dealing with the rest of the world. That’s merely an observation - but you’re probably going to see it as an attack anyway.

All the same, now that I’ve come to realize this, it’s beyond time to just actually leave you alone. At first you made me angry and frustrated, and I responded as such. Now I just feel sad for you… that you seem truly unable to comprehend why we were all so angry and frustrated, and that the only sort of attention you seem to be able to get is related to your personality and not the work that matters so much to you.
