Milestones
When other blogs run posts patting themselves on the back for how much traffic they get, I find it extremely annoying. That’s why it’s totally hypocritical that I’m about to do the same thing. In the past 24 hours, this site has hit two exciting milestones. First of all, I have now received over 1,000 comments on my 60 posts so far. Also, the site has finally exceeded 100,000 page views. Considering that the site is still a couple of days away from being three months old, I think that’s pretty cool. Thanks for reading, linking and commenting.

No, I AM. Thank you. Your posts are entertaining, informative, insightful and educational. There are other atheist bloggers I enjoy reading, there are other sites I laugh at and learn from, but in all honesty, you are my favorite.
The educational part of the above is probably the number one reason for that. You give me, as a fellow atheist, material I’d never come up with on my own to use against the Christians who try to convert me.
So, you’re most certainly welcome… but I read because you rock.

Oh, I wanted to add that the people who comment out here make a difference, too. Your posts generate a unique response that is fun to be part of… so, I guess I’ll thank the audience out here, too :). And, I guess that means you are right to thank me. Er, us.

That’s awesome I Am. 100,000. I’ll never get their in my whole life. (And if seth feels like rubbing my face in it, I would like to remind him that I know where he lives.)

Yeah, I want to be I Am when I grow up. See, I chose you over The Raving Atheist because I like your layout better. And your description is nice and simple.

It’s sad to live in an area where the only people who I can relate to and communicate with on topics important to me…are online.

Has it only been three months?! It feels longer than that. I have to agree with Seth in that I prefer your setup to the Raving Atheist’s. Your graphics are more stream-lined and simple (that is good). TRA still has a place in my favorites, though. I just enjoy the different attitudes everyone brings to the table. It’s also fun getting to know everybody better. I like your style and approach better than most bloggers. No offense against everyone else, I Am suits my tastes better. But I can always find a different atheist blog to reflect whatever mood I’m in. TRA’s good for sarcasm and wit, Hellbound Alleee’s good for bite. Pixelation’s quirky and cute, AK manages to be serious and funny simultaneously, and I could go on and on, but you get the idea.

Plus, I Am also responds to comments, while TRA just sorta hands things down from on high. I like TRA and all, but I much prefer that personal touch.

The average weekly increase in visits (not page views) over that time period was just over 7.5%. The biggest single increase in one week was over 20%. I assume the percentages are roughly the same for page views, but I don’t track that number in detail. Visits is a more meaningful (if less impressive) statistic.
