Sounds Dreadful

What site is this?

I thought about responding to that blog, since some of the people here find me contentious at times, but y’know, I’m not really much of one to just throw myself to the sharks, since these people have already made up their minds. I doubt they would be intellectually honest about it[…]

I can understand that. It’s very frustrating to argue with those kinds of people, don’t you think?

Even just reading the page, my head was tingling with the evil and hatred being spewed forth from it. It seems rather obvious to me that demons inhabit that board, and I rather doubt that they would listen to the truth. I used to be involved in some occult practices (not Satan worship, but stuff like astral projection and things of that nature–demons attacked me once during that, but that’s another story for another time and thank God I fought them off) and I can still sense the presence of evil spirits…they are all over that board! Anyway, posting on their blog would just be another opportunity for them to rehash their talking points and speak evil of God’s people. They call us fools, but the Bible clearly speaks of man’s wisdom being God’s foolishness. All I can do in the meantime is pray for them. It’s sad that Satan’s soldiers do not feel the same compunction that Christians do to hold their wagging tongues. The devils believe and tremble.

Wow. They must be talking about the Church of Satan forums. Ooh, maybe it’s a Neo-Nazi blog.

The internet is full of crazy people venting and spewing about things they don’t understand. That page is[…] just some pathetic guy who makes fun of things he doesn’t understand.

Damn right. Maybe it’s a site about evolution by a religious fundamentalist.

Actually, the site they’re talking about, is this one. Any comments from the gallery of evil spirits? Loosen your tongues, soldiers of Satan.

    Demons!

    Too funny!

I almost spit up the human blood I was drinking when I read that! Even my pet Raven communicated his shock at such blatant prejudice.

Sheesh. Some people sure have a lot of nerve.

  2. addict_no_more Says:

Well… since I AM has used the material I sent him, I suppose I’ll reveal myself. I’m the “friend” that SavedByTheWay is refering to in this thread on the Candace boards. The story is a bit different than she shares it…

She sent me an extremely, overtly religious forward. I’ve asked her nicely, many times, to please not send me that crap (I didn’t call it crap, either). She never listened. Finally, I got fed up and sent her some atheist links. She then sent me to the Candace boards and Kirk’s scary Christianity site. Well, I think you’ll understand why I couldn’t resist sending her to I AM’s post about that!

Anyway, I decided to check out the message board to see if she mentioned me, and sure enough… she mentioned this site, and me. There’s a prayer request there for me, and apparently my soul is controlled by the devil. Who knew? I thought only Satanists were followers of Satan, but apparently, we all are too!!! Oh, goody! I like fire!

Let me assure you all, before you read this comment on the thread, I do not have any doubts at all about my atheism… and, even more to the point, if I DID have doubts I can assure you that I would NEVER be a Christian again. No way in… well, you get the point.

    Hugs from Satan’s little helper!

  3. Stefan Says:

“demons attacked me once during that, … thank God I fought them off”

Wow, how can you ever take people like that seriously. I don’t know which is funnier that she thinks she was attacked by deamons or that she thinks she fought them off. :-)

  4. addict_no_more Says:

Actually, I just discovered that is a guy writing. I thought he was a she, too… and yeah, I mean, the sad part here is that this person is obviously deeply disturbed.

  5. Crosius Says:

And there’s the crux of it. Thiests can’t debate with athiests, because it always comes down to, “None of your arguments are valid because they come from the Devil.”

  6. norbizness Says:

Be careful, you’re messing with the Kirk Cameron extended family. Remember young Candace, the oldest daughter on Full House? Of course you do! And she’s married to the lesser Bure brother from the National Hockey League! This is truly a union of concentrated godliness, against which no evangelically oriented atheist site can stand.

I won’t blame you if you step off right about now.

  7. Mithra Saves Says:

How ridiculous! Fighting off demons. Preposterous! You don’t fight off demons! You sumon an Elvic Troll first, then you fight demons. It’s amazing the loons they let on here.

May Mithra Bless and Keep you.

Oh god! Right before I was going to submit this I glanced up and saw Kirk Cameron’s name. I want to strangle him slowly. The only thing he has going for him is that smokin’, hot wife he has or had… I hope its the latter. He doesn’t deserve such a creature.

  8. Vic Says:

Actually, sorry to disappoint you Mithra Saves, but I think his wife is just as infected with the Jesus Disease as he is.

  9. I Am Says:

Yeah. I think an Elvic Troll does 3d10 damage vs. demons. Where’s my PHB?

  10. Mithra Saves Says:

LOL! No doubt. It’s funny. The “PHB” to fight demons is not easily used. It is in between the lines of the bible. One only need be a 17th level wizard, uh I mean a minister to use the PHB. Back you demons, BACK! COME OUT!

    This Post is CLEAN!

    That will be $50 please.

  11. franky Says:

“demons attacked me once….I can still sense the presence of evil spirits”
Is this person taking him/herself seriously?

  12. Spork Boy Says:

I would have considered sites like this infested with demons. Back in the day of my zealotry, I spoke often about demons and even had a few cast out of me (my buddy Mithra Saves cast one out named Luger. No wonder I’ve felt lonely these past few years). It’s amazing what you will believe when you are on an emotional high.

Being “full of the spirit” and engaging the forces of darkness in spiritual battle with the power of Jesus by one’s side is very empowering. The power you feel easily overcomes the undealt with insecurity and other emotional issues that are supposedly cast out or reborn at conversion but are really tossed aside and unresolved.

Reading the posts above made me laugh at first. Then ashamed for I used to have similar thoughts. Ick. I feel dirty. I need to sacrifice something on Satan’s altar to purify myself.

  13. Aaron Kinney Says:

    YANKEE ROSE, BITCHES!

I was so infuriated at these Christian soldiers attempting to foil our Satanic scheme, that I had to interrupt my goat sacrifice! I am planning a wicked curse on all of them for meddling in Satan’s grand scheme. Tonight, at the stroke of twelve, I will send forth my vast army of demon spirits to possess these Jesus loving worms and drive them into the sea like the pigs that they are!

    HAIL SATAN!

That was a good chuckle, but in all seriousness, these people are crazy! Look at the whole thread! They pray and cry for hours and hours and obsess over demons and Satan.

Look at what religion does to people. Look at what it did to THOSE people.

Regarding what Frank said, yes, the scary part is that that person DOES take him/herself seriously. They think that they have grand mental battles with demon spirits.

They are loonies. I hope they read this.

  14. franky Says:

    Spork Boy:
So you’re saying that it’s a psycological thing?? These people feel empowered? I guess I could see that. It always amazing to see those televangelist on TV that cast demons out of people. It’s just so theatrical.
When I went to church, there was a lot of people “filled with the spirit”. These were also the people that admitted that they used to be addicted to drugs. They just go from one addiction to another.

  15. Constantine (a.k.a Mithra Save) Says:

I shall secure you a young virgin Spork Boy for your offering to Baal. Unfortunately the forces of darkness are prevading so much Spork Boy, that it’s getting tougher and tougher to find a virgin. They’ve either been rebellious and given up their flower or called into the pastor’s chamber and had it plucked out. I wonder if the lord of darkness would except a cheese danish and a latte?

  16. franky Says:

    “cheese danish and a latte”
I’ll take both of those over a virgin. What’s so great about virgins anyway? Not that I’m the lord of darkness anyway, I’m just hungry.

  17. Spork Boy Says:

    frankly:
Yes, it can be a psychological thing. It also can be an emotional thing. Ever see teenage girls go nuts over an Americal Idol star? They are emotionally hysterical, blindly defending their idol against all forms of criticism. Same kind of thing. The emotional frenzy that people can be whipped into gets them to believe that yes, some lunatic with a bad accent in a tacky white suit is actually casting demons out of them by waving his arms and speaking in tongues. Stay on the emotional high of Jesus and ignore the real pain and problems.

Of course, teenage girls eventually grow out of their idol worship (well, most of them do). For Christers, it takes a little more effort than just getting older and having hormones stabalize.

  18. addict_no_more Says:

There’s nothing great about virgins. They don’t know how to do it. You have to break ‘em in, and that’s no fun. It’s like training a puppy… much better to get a slightly older dog, who’s already trained and knows a thing or two.

Like me, for example. Heh. Sorry demons, uh, guys… I’m already spoken for. My Demonically Possessed husband is waiting for me at home. I think we’ll do it over a bed of flames tonight.

And hey, I want a latte. The cheese danish would be nice, too… but I’d rather have a jelly donut. Thanks.

  19. Constantine (a.k.a Mithra Save) Says:

Yes, a well seasoned “dog” is just what the lord of darkness ordered. Would you call her a D.I.L.F.? I’m sorry to digress, these demon must be controlling the post waves.

Addict_no_more, may your bed of flames light up the night. Addict_no_more you should journey over to our blog sometime.

The lord of darkess has said that you can substitute a cheese danish for a jelly donut.

  20. addict_no_more Says:

Thank you, oh great LoD. I appreciate it.

When you pronounce that, he no longer seems scary or dark. How could someone called “LoD” be scary?

Mmm… I think I need to hit Dunkin’ Donuts. God Damn it. Or is that LoD damn it?

Either way, I’m gonna burn. Cool.

  21. Mary Says:

    LOL! What delusional people!

  22. Seth Says:

…exactly what they say about us.

  23. Delta Says:

It’s always sad to actually hear that people actually think about the real-world in terms of demons, devils, and intrinsic evil. You can’t see the beauty in the world when you don’t even know what the world is truly like.

  24. Lucifer Says:

Dunkin Donut’s? Burn Dunkin Donut’s. Go to Starbucks! Everyone know’s that is the center for all satanic worship! But don’t even come without your traditional goat intestines and black cat.

  25. Brian Parra Says:

Those people have yet to be touched by his Noodly Apendage.

  26. addict_no_more Says:

I’ve been touched by his Noodly Appendage. Twice.

And I go to Starbucks, too. Relax, Lucifer. Geesh.

On a more serious note (yes, I can do serious), Delta, I agree with you completely. The world is so much more amazing and beautiful when you realize it’s not some divine creation, being manipultated with puppet strings.

  27. Jim rrr Says:

    I am

I just checked the site above. They are praying for you. Do you feel a firestorm of prayer warming you or anything? They refuse to see the truth all about them and are all too willing to fabricate such a fairy tale (reality?). Sorry it was a friend of yours. If I ever start ranting about demons. Please someone hunt me down and sever my head from my body. Clean the skull polish it if you like and pike it on a stick. So that when the wind blows it bobbles. Thanks I’d really appreciate that. JIM rrr

  28. addict_no_more Says:

It wasn’t I AM’s friend… it was mine. I’m the one that’s being prayed for. Ack.

Although by now they’re probably also praying for him!

  29. LBBP Says:

All I can say is WOW. I looked through both sites and that is some scary stuff. I think it would be fun to make a parody of the “Are You a Good Person” Flash that is on both of their sties. If I get it done I will let you know.

  30. Uberkuh Says:

I earnestly pray that they all burn in Hell for judging us. God knows our hearts, and all our private places.

  31. Lucifer Says:

    That’s seriously funny.

  32. addict_no_more Says:

My little comment about the burning bed has come back to haunt me in the form of a song.

    “This bed is on fire
    With passionate love
The neighbours complain about the noises above…”

Uberkuh, I almost spit out my Starbucks Passion Iced Tea Lemonade when I read your comment. I actually laughed out loud at that.

Oh, and see, Lucifer? I do go to Starbucks.

  33. Lucifer Says:

Good to know, now I can die in peace

  34. Kele Says:

I’m thinking about posting a response or something…

  35. Kele Says:

Damn, I have to wait until the administrator activates my account. It’ll have to wait until tomorrow, I guess.

  36. addict_no_more Says:

Kele, from what I’ve read I suspect anything you say will be yanked almost immediately. Just thought I’d let you know before you spend time on that.

Someone wanted my former friend’s link to this site pulled down - and for crying out loud, she was DEFENDING the Cameron crap.

  37. Kele Says:

Yeah… I’m not going to make a longass post or anything.

I just went to a couple Yahoo! Messenger Christian chatrooms to do various things to see reactions… I forgot to copy the second one so now I can’t post it. =/

  38. C Ray 86 Says:

I really think if theists did not have a constant struggle of oppression from everyone else, then it would not be as popular. I realize the whole religion system is built for constant struggle, but its all about how you look at yourself, look at others, and how to confront those two differences. Plus with religion, you can ascribe any sort of supernatural power to any situation. Demons on message boards, god working in “mysterious (contradictory)” ways, ect.

Hell, even when I was catholic I rarely got into the religious experience. I was too busy worrying about correcting people when they used god’s name in vain, and worrying about whether masturbating was a mortal sin or not. I went to confession and asked a priest about masturbation. I’m just glad religion helped me to better myself. I’d rather be a dogmatic pretentious bastard then some guy that… jerks off!

(I realize I went really off topic, but I’m a little drunk and felt like venting)

  39. DUB Says:

“It’s sad that Satan’s soldiers do not feel the same compunction that Christians do…”.

    Hmmm…

    com·punc·tion - n.
    1. A strong uneasiness caused by a sense of guilt ~ A feeling of deep regret (usually for some misdeed).
    2. A sting of conscience or a pang of doubt aroused by wrongdoing or the prospect of wrongdoing.

So, apparently the major difference between Jesus Freaks and us “Soldiers of Satan” is that we don’t feel guilty about it. Quite Freudian of her to acknowledge Christian misdeeds and wrongdoings.

addict_no_more - UTFO had a song called “Burning Bed” in the ’80’s, based on Farrah’s movie…

“Treat your woman right/ or get that burning bed at night…”

And of course the Devil and his minions prefer CHARbucks. Dunk’s is far too heavenly.

  40. Seth Says:

    From that forum:
How can you turn your back on God? And they aren’t just indifferent, they are mocking it all!! I bettter go say some prayers!!!!!!

…ya think that maybe religion is some form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder? (has anyone else read Orson Scott Card’s “Xenocide”?)

  41. LBBP Says:

“But in my heart I have no choice but to reject such gods, because I can’t see any good in what they’re doing. Perhaps I am so stupid and foolish that I will always be an enemy of the gods, working against their high and incomprehensible purposes. But I have to live my life according to what I understand, and what I understand is that there are no such gods as the godspoken teach us about. If they exist at all, they take pleasure in oppression, and deception, humiliation and ignorance. They act to make other people smaller and themselves larger. Those would not be gods, then, even if they existed. They would be enemies. Devils.” — from Xenocide

  42. Kele Says:

Well, I posted my response. I’ll also be posting this on my blog for safe-keeping. I hope it doesn’t get deleted!

I also hope my post was written well. I tried my best to respond to certain things without arguing over religion and atheism.

  43. I Am Says:

    Kele:

    *APPLAUSE*

  44. addict_no_more Says:

Kele, that was fantastic. So well said I almost don’t believe you’re only 16. :P

Seriously, I’m impressed. You responded to all of their… ponderings in such a way that pulling down that thread will make them look like scared little babies!

I remember my former friend saying some of the exact things you said, back when she was an atheist. Wonder if that will tug at her…

Thanks for making us atheists look good!

  45. Kele Says:

    Thanks! :D

Sometime after I posted it I felt like there was something I missed and now I can’t remember what it was. Haha.

  46. Kele Says:

Oh, I just looked… one response so far.

Maaike28: “Thank you for sharing your views with us. Why would you think your post will be deleted? There are many Christian people on this forum, but that certainly doesn’t mean that people with different beliefs are not welcome here!! This world would be a boring place if everybody was the same; thanks again for sharing, it was very interesting to read!”

So that’s cool. I’d like to get the people I quoted and responded to to respond though.

  47. rmadison Says:

I just put my two cents up there as well Kele

No comments yet, but I was encouraged at the openness that Maaike28 showed to you.

  48. Kele Says:

    Excellent response! :)

  49. Kele Says:

I responded to another of Clear-Conscience’s posts. I also decided to venture into other parts of the forum and post. I’ll have links and post what I said on my blog a little later.

  50. Seth Says:

Kele, on the “Are you a good person” thread was this response to your post:

“Kele, what if your wrong ? Image just for a minute that you do break all those commandments all your life and then you die and find out you were wrong there is God ready to judge you? You have no more proof of your beilefs then christians do of thiers, but the difference is that if Christians were wrong Christians haven’t lost anything when they die. ”

I’d suggest you reply that they’ve lost a life (wasted worrying about pointless things). I’d post it, but I seriously do not want to get involved with those people.

Heh. Oh, and in the next paragraph, that person says that you sound like a smart girl. By the way.

  51. mountmccabe Says:

Ahh, fundamental belief/action supported by utilitarianism and threats! I love Pascal’s Wager.

    Oh, wait, no I don’t.

  52. Kele Says:

Seth, I didn’t see your comment until… way after I posted a response. I just basically said “What if the true god was Allah? Krishna? Or even Zeus?” I didn’t say what you said I should. =/

It seems they want us (rmadison and I) to leave so I’ll just stop. Clear-Conscience kept saying that we’re trying to proselytize our atheistic beliefs when this wasn’t our intent. Is this the whole persecution belief?

  53. Kele Says:

Hahahahahahaha! Those two topics have been deleted! Good thing I saved my posts. Unfortunately, rmadison’s are lost. :(

But seriously, that’s funny (Heh, seriously and funny). I guess they didn’t like the differing opinions?

    Hahahahahaha!

  54. Dan Says:

I’m sad to see those two posts deleted, I just happened on this blog have been reading through the previous posts.

Ah well, I’m sure there will be many chances to see fundie hilarity in the future.

  55. brad Says:

atheism exists as a accountabilty escape hatch, nothing more. all atheists i have encountered are the biggest SEX addicts i have met. and atheism is a tool of liberation for you guys. is that not childish? to have a one-track mind and go through life just pursuing sex!. well when your dead all sex is history and you had better be sure there is no deity to judge you.and p.s even if evolution is true god still exists. if chemicals=cells=animal=homosapien then the next logical progression is a being with all the atributes of what we would call a god. and what if this being had a million year headstart on its evolution. it would not be indistinguishable from the judeo-christian god.
